We invite all Friends of the Alamo members to a special preview of Surrounded! The Alamo Augmented Experience, presented by Frost, The Official Bank of the Alamo. Enjoy a sneak peek of this new experience, before it opens to the public on Friday, September 6, as well as a reception with wine, beer, and light appetizers in gratitude for your support as a member of Friends of the Alamo! At this reception, you can hear from the curators, historical researchers, and developers who created this experience.

Through the use of a handheld tablet, you can travel through time and engage with the history of the Alamo through six experiential portals in the Long Barrack.

  • Meet early Native Americans and Spanish friars in the 18th century
  • Experience the first hospital with the Alamo Company in 1813
  • Prepare for combat the night before the Battle of the Alamo in 1836
  • Witness the first confrontation of the Civil War
  • Shop in one of the biggest general stores in Texas in 1880
  • Discover how the Long Barrack and the Alamo Church were preserved at the turn of the 20th century

This experience includes interactive characters, immersive clips, and 360-degree animations that bring the history of the Alamo to life like you’ve never seen it before.

Tickets are FREE, but limited, and only available for Friends of the Alamo members. Not a member? Join today!
