Thank you for your interest in filming at the Alamo! Pursuant to its legislative grant of care and maintenance of the Alamo, the Texas General Land Office (GLO) requires a right of entry agreement anytime a production crew seeks access to the Alamo.
The agreement allows the GLO and the Alamo Trust, Inc. to schedule these production activities alongside preservation and education activities without interference.
Additionally, these agreements ensure production equipment or activities with the potential to harm historic structures are used in a way to which there will be no negative effect. When a video or photoshoot at the Alamo Complex utilizes the iconic image of the Alamo Church, a license agreement may be issued in combination with a right of entry.
Please note that Alamo Plaza is a pedestrian area only, closed to vehicular traffic from Houston Street to Crockett Street. Film requests for a vehicle to be photographed on the plaza will be declined. In addition, the GLO will not issue an agreement for filming at the Alamo for any political advertisements, campaigns, or activities. All requests for paranormal investigations will be denied.
The license agreement allows the GLO, as owner of several contemporary Alamo trademarks, to understand and keep track of uses of the Alamo’s image among interest groups and marketplaces. Please complete the form below if you would like to apply for a film permit.
