I Am Texas!, the “largest published book in the world,” will be on display at the Alamo beginning Thursday, March 9th, through Sunday, April 30th. An ode to Texas from the perspective of a child, the seven-foot book captures what the Lone Star State means to 1,000 young Texans in grades 3-12 from more than 80 school districts through stories, poetry, and artwork.
Collectively, the student authors mentioned the Alamo 343 times throughout the book. GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ representatives officially decreed I Am Texas “the largest published book in the world” in Houston, Texas in late 2022.
This book can be viewed in the Crockett Building across from Alamo Church during normal operating hours daily and is free to visit.
