Come to the Alamo and celebrate the birthday of the legendary frontiersman and iconic Alamo Defender David Crockett!

Crockett was born on August 17, 1786, in eastern Tennessee and died while defending the Alamo on March 6, 1836. The Lion of the West has inspired countless history lovers from around the world to discover the rich history of the Texas Revolution and the Battle of the Alamo.

Our visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet the man himself as our costumed Living Historian embodies David Crockett, presenting readings from the famous Tennessee Congressman's personal correspondence and writings. Enjoy the sounds of fiddle music, listen to descendants speak about Crockett's storied life, and witness his shooting prowess during a rifle and musket firing demonstration.

Join us for this free, family-friendly event celebrating the life of American Folk Hero, David Crockett!
