Starting as early as today, the fenced areas in Alamo Plaza will shift slightly to better accommodate visitor and passerby foot traffic. The two fenced-areas on Alamo Street in front of the Church will decrease their footprints, allowing some sidewalk for pedestrians. Due to construction, these areas may expand back to the street as needed but we will make every attempt to keep the street sidewalks open.
In addition to this, directional signage will be added to select fences in the Plaza which will inform visitors there are other attractions and experiences available along Alamo Street near the Plaza.
Earlier this week, we updated the fenced areas with a semi-transparent wrapping so that visitors could watch the installation of security bollards. As this process continues throughout the rest of the year, we will continue to make adjustments as needed to accommodate our visitors.
