The 18 pounder cannon replica, currently being created by The Verdin Company has been cast, sandblasted, and is about to be painted with a protective coating before it is carefully packed up and sent to Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop to be placed on its carriage.
In just a few weeks, a team of Alamo staff will head up to Hansen to pick up the cannon and bring it to the Alamo to be placed on the new cannon ramp.
