Important Traffic Update: Vehicular Access to Alamo Plz. and Crockett St.
As of the previous update, please be advised that vehicular traffic access to Alamo Plz. North from Commerce St. and Crockett St. West from Alamo Plz. is currently closed due to ongoing construction activities. This temporary closure was implemented on Monday, July 31st, and the anticipated reopening of vehicle access is scheduled forFriday, August 11th. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this phase of the project.
Continuation of Potholing, Archaeological Trenching, and Historical Investigations
Potholing activities, archaeological trenching, and historical investigations are still in progress in the Plaza de Valero area. These essential tasks are crucial in facilitating the finalization of the plaza, which will serve as the gateway to the historic site, paying homage to the mission's original name, San Antonio de Valero.
Safety Measures and Restricted Areas
Safety remains our top priority during the construction project. To ensure the safety of all individuals in the vicinity, a fenced perimeter has been installed around the active work area. We kindly request all community members and patrons to adhere to safety guidelines and avoid entering restricted areas.
Continuous Accessibility for Emergency Vehicles
The closures and construction activities have been meticulously coordinated with the City of San Antonio's Right of Way team to ensure continuous accessibility for emergency vehicles throughout the duration of the project.
