Learn about the Alamo’s place in San Antonio and Texas History through a teachers-only walking tour of the grounds. The tour covers multiple eras in the site’s history, including Indigenous history, the Spanish Mission period, the Texas Revolution, Texas annexation and statehood, and the era of preservation. Walking tour is led by the Alamo education team. This session is beneficial for anyone interested in using Texas history in the classroom and/or preparing for an Alamo field trip.

Workshop registration includes a light dinner (served at 5 pm), TEKS-aligned classroom resources, and 2 CPE credit certificate upon participation. Dress for the weather. Comfortable walking shoes recommended.
