The Alamo invites visitors to step back in time and experience the wild west at its annual Rodeo Round Up event. On Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., visitors can enjoy a day of free living history programming, just in time for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.
This cowboy-themed day will feature living history demonstrations focusing on the weapons of the old west, 19th century games, cooking, branding, life on the cattle trail, and more. Visitors can also meet with Alamo interpreters who will share their knowledge of the history and culture of the old west.
"The Alamo Rodeo Round Up is a great opportunity for visitors to learn about the history of the west in a fun and interactive way," said Alamo Trust, Inc. Executive Director, Dr. Kate Rogers. "We invite everyone to come out and experience the excitement of the old west at the Alamo."
The event is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to wear their cowboy boots and hats and join in the fun!
