The Alamo is honored to invite members of the media to the dedication ceremony of the Alvarez Family Terrace, made possible by a generous $1 million donation from the Impetus Foundation, led by Carlos Alvarez and his family. Scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2024, at 10:45 a.m., this event signifies the family's commitment to preserving the Alamo's legacy and its 300-year historical significance to Texas. 

The gathering will highlight the Alvarez Family's charitable support for the Alamo, with members of the family sharing insights into their contribution. Dr. Kate Rogers, Executive Director of the Alamo Trust, Inc., will also deliver remarks to underline the significance of the Alvarez family's contribution. A key moment of the ceremony will be unveiling the signage for the Alvarez Family Terrace.

Following the ceremony's conclusion, attendees will have the opportunity to view the Eclipse from the comfort of the Alvarez Family Terrace or participate in the Alamo's Eclipse Watch event held in Alamo Plaza.
