Join us for a memorable Independence Day weekend celebration at the inaugural Stars & Stripes Salute at the Alamo on Friday, July 5, 2024. This free community event is part of the full Stars & Stripes activation on Houston Street in downtown San Antonio, taking place during the week of the July 4th holiday. It promises a day filled with family-friendly activities, live music, and a spectacular drone show, making it the perfect way to celebrate our nation's independence.

The free event will feature a dynamic lineup, including performances by the U.S. Air Force Rock Band, Children's Chorus of San Antonio, Opera San Antonio, and Youth Orchestra of San Antonio. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy a variety of family activities, indulge in delicious offerings from local food trucks, and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere with live music.

For those seeking a more exclusive experience for the gathering, our VIP Experience offers an evening with the Alamo Curator, including private, after-hours access to the Alamo Exhibit at the Ralston Family Collections Center and a selection of patriotic artifacts on display for one night only. Escape the heat and the crowds with premium amenities such as a bar stocked with beer, wine, and our Stars & Stripes signature cocktail, as well as light bites. Enjoy air conditioning, indoor restrooms, and preferred, reserved seating to watch the live music. Tickets are priced at $100/adult, $75/children under age 12, and discounts for military and Friends of the Alamo Members.

The day's schedule is as follows:

  • Family Activites: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Live Music: 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Drone Show: 9:30 p.m.

The evening will culminate in a breathtaking drone show, narrated by country music artist Pat Green, soaring over the Alamo.

We would like to extend our thanks to our event partners and sponsors that include the Texas Cavaliers Charitable Foundation, Elizabeth Huth Coates Charitable Foundation of 1992, City of San Antonio, Visit San Antonio, Clark-Guido Construction, Sky Elements, Emily Morgan Hotel, the Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk, Old Town Trolley Tours, and Bexar County – through the generous assistance of Commissioner Grant Moody for their support in making this event possible.
