Alamo Complex Management (“ACM”) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is the official partner of the Texas General Land Office to manage the Alamo complex and tell the story of the Cradle of Texas Liberty to millions of visitors each year. It is a sister organization of the Alamo Endowment and the Remember the Alamo Foundation.

The ACM staff mission is to create an unforgettable experience for visitors that teaches the Alamo’s 300-year history and honors those who paid the ultimate price in defense of the Alamo and the legacy of their heroism. ACM employs and manages the staff that administer the daily operating functions and visitor experience at this newly-recognized World Heritage Site. The ACM staff is led by a Chief Operations Officer and includes departments that focus on Curation, Conservation, Education & History, Facilities, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Security, Visitor Services, and Retail Contractors.

Current Available Positions:



The Alamo offers internships year-round in curation, conservation, education, marketing and operations.

Internships available for the Spring and Summer 2018 semesters include:

(Spring) Accounting –Gain invaluable experience interning under a skilled CPA. Participate in various projects and learn accounting skills such as processing invoices, general ledgers and bookkeeping.

(Spring) Digital Archivist – Supervised by our Graphic Designer, this intern will get to lead a project digitizing a variety of Alamo assets, including historical photography and video.

(Spring) Education – Supervised by our Education Coordinator, this student will learn to craft presentations based upon accurate Alamo history and deliver that history to students and teachers visiting the Alamo.

(Summer) Historical Research - The internship involves conducting research under the guidance of the Alamo’s Historian & Curator. Activities include building bibliographies and researching historical topics. This student will create reports to document their findings.

(Summer) Education – Participate with the Education team in leading summer programming including Summer Camp, special event and teacher workshops.
