Special Tour: The Past Revealed

In honor of Preservation Month, see the Alamo as you’ve never seen it before!

During this multilayer after hour tour, visitors will learn about the history, archaeology, and preservation, of the Alamo and how those three disciplines come together to tell a more detailed story of the site. The tour will begin with a brief overview of the history of the site and battle of the Alamo. Next, Alamo Archaeologist Kristi Nichols will discuss past archaeological excavations, show off their finds, and share plans for future work. Lastly, Alamo Conservator Pam Jary Rosser will describe her 16 years of work preserving the Alamo and reveal the discoveries made during her time. Visitors will learn the role these individuals play in preserving history, how the past is revealed daily at the Alamo, and why #thisplacematters.
