The Texas State Historical Assocation (TSHA) and The Alamo invite you to a live filming of Texas Talks. When it comes to the story of the Alamo, how important is it to distinguish between fact and legend? Is the Alamo still an important and relevant story to tell and why? Drs. Bruce Winders and Stephen Hardin will explore these issues and more in their talk, The Alamo: Fallacies and Canards

Filmed on February 9th, the Texas Talks webinar will be aired on March 6th.

Dr. Richard Bruce Winders has held the position of Curator & Historian at the Alamo since July 1996. Winders has earned a reputation as an authority on early Texas and the Southwest.

Dr. Stephen L. Hardin is a professor of history at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. When not engaged in the classroom, he serves as an on-air commentator, appearing on such varied venues as the A&E Network, the History Channel, and NBC’s TODAY show.
