Fall at the Alamo is an interactive living history event, free to the public. The theme for this year’s event is Law & Order in the Republic of Texas. Set in the year 1844, a mock court will hear a case involving dueling, giving visitors an up-close look at the legal system of the Republic of Texas.
Don’t be surprised if the Sherriff issues you a jury summons on the spot! Visitors might even be called as witnesses or find themselves on trial.
In addition to the mock trial, there will be demos on gaming, Republic of Texas money, and a program on the Texas Rangers. A corn-husk doll making activity will be available for children.
